I tried this quick as a way to investigate a suspected food allergy and to just reset my body.
During the quick:
I had caffeine headaches for the first 2 days but these went away. Day 2 was the toughest by far – got a small simpler after that. My sense of smell increased so that I could smell a neighbor’s grill 2 blocks away. Unlike some reviewers, I had a drop in energy. Some tasks took me longer to complete due to lack of focus. I realized how much of eating is either social or due to boredom. While I beyond doubt went through periods of hunger, some of it was due to routine. Didn’t encounter too many side effects: face broke out just a small, bathroom visits were few (but significant), dry skin and hair.
After the quick:
Did feel more focused and energetic, although right energy levels took a couple days to reset 100%. Took a few more days off from jogging.
Lost weight in face and stomach. I’m guessing the lack of salt helped decrease face puffiness. Stomach must have shrunk, since I fill up with smaller meals not. Will slowly work coffee, wine, etc back into diet, but will be more deliberate about it.
Overall:
An effective product that taught me alot about how I treat food. I found that a strict routine helped me get through the week. I made a grid listing out every fasting “meal” and what to take. Made a dedicated area on the table for this so I didn’t have to reckon too much when my focus was low.

I just can’t get enough of this fasting program. I have been on it 3 times in the past year and have encounter exceptional results each time! I feel so clean internally afterwards, plus I have higher levels of energy and clarity of thought. As a result of fasting I have eliminated the need to take anti-inflammatories and have learned that I am allergic to dairy products. The 5 days of fasting takes a lot of self-control, but the results are worth the effort! I haven’t experienced any problems during my fasts, no headaches or shakes. I didn’t even get hungry – probably a result of the appetite control tablets in the kit. I reckon the most hard part and the most vital part of each of my fasts have been “breaking the fasts”. You need to be careful about what foods to introduce back into your diet and when to add them. I usually start back on very bland fruits, vegetables and brown rice. Each day I add something new. I am very careful to drink plenty of purified water (8 – 10 cups) each day during and after the quick. I would highly recommend fasting – but if you have any medical problems or are on medication it is very vital to seek medical advice before fasting!! I started my first quick and finished it with my doctors advice all along the way. Since then I have done the other fasts on my own. I really like how I feel during and after the fasts – it’s incredible!!

I am a first time user and it was TOUGH! I was just too hungry. I reckon that a week or so before you start you should start cutting down on calories because it is such a shock on you body. I drank organic juices along with all the water that is required and it will fill your stomach but not satisfy the hunger. By day 3 I had a cup of steamed veggies for dinner. The fiber is not too terrible if you take it with juice. The pills can be an overload after a while, but all that is nothing compared to the starvation feeling I had during the week.
Overall the product works because I noticed a huge difference in my bowel movements even though I cheated by eating veggies and fruits. I would do it again but I would have to be more disciplined in my diet before starting it.

This is my first time doing a cleanse or fasting program of any kind. I gained 10 lbs over the holidays from eating a lot of “holiday” type of food and junk (LOTS of sweets). I wanted to start off the new year on a healthy start so I thought that by doing this, it would help eliminate some of my cravings (“sweet tooth”).
I’m on my 4th day doing the program and I like it! It’s really not that hard at all. I’m not one to have self-control when it comes to food and the appetite control really works miracles, as I don’t even feel hungry at all. I had to work two home show parties & they were offering lots of yummy goodies and I had no desire to touch it (OK, I’m lying…I wanted it but I was excellent!). But it’s right, the appetite control pills really do work!
The 1st day of the program, I felt a small colder than usual so I just bundled up and left the heater on in the house. The 2nd day of the program, I woke up feeling a bit shaky but it went away a small after I took the morning pills. The 3rd day, I woke up feeling really energized but felt a small light-headed later on during the day. Today (my 4th day), I feel really fine!
I have been taking the pills with the fiber drink (proposition: add lots of ice to make it simpler to digest and/or a few tablespoons of fresh-juiced apple for those who are juicing) and drinking lots of water. I only juiced twice this whole time but I really wanted to quick completely so I stopped that and have only been drinking water. It’s not really that hard!
The only complaints I have with the program is that it says that you’re supposed to have 2-3 bowel movements a day and so far I’ve only had one on the 1st day and one on the 2nd day…and none since. I am plotting on calling the help line to see if there’s anything I can do to change that. Also, even with drinking plenty of water, I feel like my tongue is super dry and it’s really white. So I’m assuming I must be dehydrated? But I’m drinking plenty of water and the color of my pee is light (when it’s darker, it’s usually a sign you’re dehydrated). I guess that’s another reason I should call!
Overall, I’ve had fantastic results so far. I have lost 10 lbs since starting. I plot to eat just veggies, fruits and rice the 1st day I start eating again…which is just in two more days! I can’t believe I’m nearly done with this. This is probably the best self-control over ANYTHING I’ve ever had my whole entire life. This program makes it so simple! Just 5 days is all I could ever do so this was perfect for me.

I have been using this kit once a year for the past four years. As a vegetarian, I have very small digestive issues, and I strive to keep it that way! By doing a yearly cleanse to start of the new year with this kit, I reduced alot of issues I used to have. As most people, I get pulled into the celebrating the holidays and my diet suffers. I restore the balance with this kit. Its a sacrafice not to eat for 5-days but well worth the results.
I find this kit to be the most effective. I like the 5-day program because its jsut long enough to feel the results but not too long that you feel near the point of starvation. This program is hard for the 1st two days, but the last three become simpler. A few tips I’ve accumlated over the years:
~Read and follow the in rank included. If you have a question, call and question a expressive of the company.
~Start day one on a day that you can rest alot and have access to a bathroom. Frequent urination tends to stop on the third day. Try to plot the 5-Day quick when you have very small social situations. Social situations always have food and it will only make it harder on you!
~Drinks lots of water and tea; keep hydrated. It makes the quick simpler on the stomach.
~Lower your calorie intake and number of meals a few days before. It will ease the system and mentally prepare you for not eating for 5 days.
~The fiber included is the HARDEST thing in this program to choke down. Unfortunately, I found that I’ve gotten better “cleansing” results by not substituting this fiber supplement for another. I make it a point to have one serving of the included fiber per day and subtitute with caplets or an simpler dissolving fiber supplement for the other 2 servings for the day. Be sure to read the ingredients of a fiber supplement you choose and compare it to the included fiber supplement.
~ I juice (I have a juicer)organic veggies or certain fruits once a day (begginning or end of day) during the quick to choke down the fiber supplement included. It will give juice the texture of a smoothy.
~ If you’re not one to be able to take large pills (all pills included are large or multiples of small pills)get a pill crusher and add the powder to fresh juice (again, I have a juicer; I found Odwalla and Naked juices worked well. Be sure to read the ingredients before choosing.
I always feel better after the 5 days and it helps to keep my eating habits healthy for the rest of the year. My main concern is to restore my digestive health, but some of the perks are weight loss, clearer nails, skin and eyes. I personally also have better mentally clarity.
